Emily & Dan: A Colourful, High-Energy Celebration
The first wedding I filmed at Shortmead House in 2024 was with the amazing Emily & Dan. What a wedding! Full of energy, joy, and a touch of colourful flair, their big day was an absolute blast. Although the sun wasn’t exactly shining as hoped, that didn’t stop Emily, Dan, and their guests from having a fantastic time. The energy of their wedding was contagious, and it was such a joy to capture.
One of my favourite moments from their day was in the evening when everyone jumped in the pool—a spontaneous, fun moment that perfectly captured the spirit of the day. From the extremely heartfelt and sentimental ceremony in the afternoon, to the fun-filled evening, this wedding was a highlight.
Lois & Josh: A Beautiful Church Ceremony and Courtyard Reception
The second wedding I filmed at Shortmead House was with the lovely Lois & Josh. They started their day with a beautiful church ceremony just down the road in Letchworth before heading back to Shortmead House in an iconic classic VW Beetle. How cool is that?
Once they arrived, they were greeted by family and friends for an afternoon of champagne toasts and heartfelt speeches in the beautiful courtyard. The whole day was filled with so much laughter, and so many special moments.
And let me tell you—this crowd knew how to party! The dance floor was packed all night with some truly epic dance moves being thrown down. As a wedding videographer, it’s always fun to capture those unposed moments of joy, and Lois and Josh’s wedding was no exception. It was an unforgettable celebration filled with energy and laughter, and not to mention some absolutely incredible light throughout the day!
Jess & Sam: A Sun-Soaked Day with an Epic Red Arrows Fly-Over
The third and final wedding I filmed at Shortmead House in 2024 was with Jess & Sam, and wow, what a day! Not only was the sun shining brightly on their celebration, but they also had an unbelievable moment just before the ceremony—a Red Arrows flyover! Yes, you read that right—the iconic aerobatic team flew over their wedding not long before they said “I do.” It was such an incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience!
Jess and Sam were a total joy to work with. They were so full of energy and had me laughing along with them all day. Their wedding was a perfect reflection of their fun, upbeat personalities. The entire day was filled with beautiful moments, from their stunning outdoor ceremony to the fun, relaxed evening filled with laughter and dancing.
It was truly a pleasure to be part of such a memorable celebration.
